It is hard to capture all the things God has done in the short time since the prayer room has been open. And it is just the beginning!

“I feel like I belong and that means so much.”

Hi! I was just replying to your email. Tonight was wonderful. The space truly is amazing! I cried, laughed, and for the first time in a very long time, I sat still and just listened. I feel like I belong and that means so much.

“I could feel the Holy Spirit inviting me in.”

Story from the other night. I was enjoying the space, perusing while everyone was getting ready to gather corporately. I walked in the Be Still room and just burst into tears like I could feel the Holy Spirit inviting me in. I wasn’t sure what was different about that room, but something in my spirit activated causing great emotion! I reflected on the Lord then he received the peace that the Holy Spirit wanted for me, and had time to still wipe my tears and pause, then go to the gathering that night. So I knew that was where I should go!

“It’s amazing how well you can hear when you’re not at your house.”

I did not want to come home! I loved it because I’ve been asking Jesus to communicate to me what he’s praying for so that I can pray what he prays and as I was praying over some of the stations, I could feel his heart and begin to weep. I actually cried almost the whole time yesterday, that’s after I walked in the door and felt his presence there again. I did dance throughout the whole area in worship, so that was fun. (my house is not big enough for that.) I fasted before I went just because I wanted to be totally focused on God and I got some revelation about what he’s doing with me in this next season. I was surprised that he met me in the identity area, as I felt like I was solid in that area. Apparently, there’s more! It’s amazing how well you can hear when you’re not at your house. Thank you guys so much for what you’re doing. I want to support you in anyway I can.

“I was standing on Holy Ground and I should have taken my shoes off.”

Also, I just had a sense of the sweet presence of the Holy Spirit and that I was standing on Holy Ground and I should have taken my shoes off. Anyways, well done. The Lord has truly been honored in that space. Blessings to you my friend!!

“I loved ALL the little things.”

Well when I was there yesterday the room with the mirror and place to lay down made me cry just being in there- and the be still room seemed like something I could not do.

But tonight, I sobbed at the prayer wall, was unable to connect much in the mirror room but then really enjoyed sitting in the still room. And I loved ALL the little things like the little notes when you first enter and the stones and the braiding of the yarn. The fact that I was able to have the entire space to myself was amazing.

“Words really aren’t enough.”

Words really aren’t enough to express how grateful I am for you and the prayer room today! Rosetta and Fiona as well…what a magical time. [Name withheld] and I had the best experience and are excited to come back soon.

“His presence is so near there!”

It was! Thank you! Praising God with you for the space and all He’s speaking and doing there. His presence is so near there!

“I went to every station.”

So I went to every station yesterday and suddenly started crying looking at the mirror. I will have to do more work on that. I was surprised.

“I instinctively knew: the Holy Spirit dwells here.”

It has only been a few months since I first walked into the Prayer Room in Rock Hill, SC, and already I have seen the changes in myself and in my faith.

When I opened the door to the space, something happened that is difficult to put into words. A stream of light was coming in the very moment I walked in. It was unnaturally bright, and as it hit my face, I smiled and exhaled. I looked around in disbelief. How is this possible? I saw the couches, chairs, books, journals, and another room around the corner. I was in disbelief at all I saw before me. For years, my heart had been aching to touch a wailing wall, and there it was!

What felt most significant on that first visit was that after years of therapy, group and self-recovery efforts, it was all there. So many things I had been encouraged to do in my journey to recover from trauma were right there in the stations of the prayer room! The way everything was placed felt Spirit-led. I instinctively knew: the Holy Spirit dwells here.
